I love living and working on the coast of Maine. Our rich environment of rock, water and trees inspires my creative efforts. The challenges of our Maine climate and the resultant need for durability prompts my focused attention on materials and detailing. The Maine climate provides motivation for energy conservation and comfort.

I cultivate lasting relationships with clients, builders, colleagues and others who demonstrate knowledge, dedication and skill. There are MANY aspects to designing and constructing responsive, durable and affordable buildings, but the most critical component in this forever quest is people. Valued relationships make good buildings.
